Seminar on Italian cinema

Italian film-directors like Fellini, Rossellini, Antonioni and De Sica have acquired a world-wide reputation. This seminar will offer an overview of the history of Italian cinema by presenting some of its most significant lines of development. Extracts from films will be shown, followed by discussions of the specific features of each tendency, with particular attention to the techniques of the leading directors. The seminar will consist of three sessions:
